How to sync your Airbnb and Booking.com calendars with iCal
If your property is listed on more than one site, each site has its own calendar. An iCal link lets those calendars share what is booked, so a booking on one site blocks the same dates everywhere else.
What an iCal link is
An iCal link is a web address that ends in .ics. It publishes the booked dates of a calendar in a standard format that other calendar tools can read. Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia, Vrbo and Google Calendar can all produce one.
How to find it
On each site, open the calendar settings of your listing and look for an option such as Export calendar, Calendar sync or Share calendar. Copy the link it gives you. The exact wording and place change from site to site, so check that site's help pages if you cannot find it.
Connect several sites to one calendar
Add one link per site. In StaySync you pick the site, paste its calendar link and connect it. The dates booked there then show as blocked in your shared calendar, so agencies see them too. You can connect as many sites as you are listed on.
What to expect
- ✓Calendar links are read on a schedule, not instantly, so a booking can take a short while to appear.
- ✓Use Sync now when you want to refresh a link straight away.
- ✓If a link stops working, copy a fresh one from the site and replace it.
Do both directions
Importing a site's calendar blocks those dates in your shared calendar. To stop the site from selling dates you booked elsewhere, also give that site your own calendar link where it allows importing.
Keep every date in sync
One shared calendar for owners and agencies, with holds, Plan B backups and reminders.
